You must complete ALL sections A, B, and C of the 2022-2023 Enrollment Declaration form before your application can be considered.

The ECHS Mission: Our ECHS Owls are taught to have H.O.P.E.–faith in the premise that they can create OPPORTUNITY and a better future through EFFORT, HARD WORK, and PERSONAL COURAGE. This idea of H.O.P.E. is woven into the fabric of our ECHS family.

Our Purpose
Students attending the Early College High School (ECHS) are given a unique high school experience focused on academics with a rigorous course of study enabling them to earn an Associate’s degree from Austin Community College (ACC) at the same time they complete their high school diploma. The Round Rock ISD ECHS is an educational opportunity afforded to students via a partnership between Round Rock ISD and ACC. Interested students are expected to discuss this high school option with their school counselors and parents/legal guardians before declaring their wish to enroll.

A Future Owl
● will reside in the Round Rock Independent School District.
● is eligible for transportation services if they reside more than 2 miles from the ECHS campus. ECHS is classified as a special program. Students who use District transportation to and from ECHS may experience a more than 30-minute bus ride, multiple stops, and have their designated bus stop be located more than 1/2 mile from their residence.
● will meet all requirements for promotion from eighth grade to ninth grade.
● will complete the online declaration including essays and a teacher recommendation.
● must attend the freshman orientation (Summer Bridge) program from May 31 through June 3, 2022.
● understands that UIL sports and fine arts are not offered at Early College High School.

How to Become an Owl
In order to support students through their collegiate journey, each graduating class is capped at 125 students. Students are encouraged to declare interest in ECHS early to reserve their spot. If more than 125 qualified students apply, a lottery process will be used to determine placement. Students not placed through the lottery will be added to a waiting list in the order the campus received the student’s enrollment declaration.
